ASV ACP Jr Investigator Awards 2017 - Call for Applications

The ASV Council is delighted to announce the 5th year of the award program to highlight excellence in virology: the ASV Ann Palmenberg Junior Investigator Awards. The purpose of these awards is to recognize junior investigators who have made significant contributions to the field of virology and who display exceptional promise. They are named in honor of former ASV president Dr. Ann Palmenberg, University of Wisconsin-Madison, for her tireless efforts over several decades in supporting and continually improving our society’s annual meeting.

1. Details for eligibility and submission of application
- Last degree within previous 10 years
- Application must be submitted by a current full member of ASV as nominator.
- Required submission of a template for the applicant’s Biographical Sketch.
- Applicants who applied for but did not receive a 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 Junior
Investigator Award may reapply for the 2017 award.
- Applicants who applied for and received a 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016 Junior Investigator Award may not apply.

Application Deadline: November 10, 2016
2017 ASV Ann Palmenberg Junior Investigator Award:
- $1,000 cash award presented at ASV 2017 meeting
(Awardee must register for the ASV meeting and pay the registration fee in addition to their own travel expenses.)
- Engraved plaque
- 15-minutes research talk to be scheduled in the Sunday morning Symposium at the 2017 ASV meeting at the Monona Terrace Convention Center, Madison, Wisconsin and hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, June 24-28, 2017.
